“Seek Laylat al-Qadr in the odd nights of the last ten nights of Ramadan” (Sahih al-Bukhari 2017). The 27th night is the most commonly emphasised, on the report of Ubayy ibn Ka‘b (Sahih Muslim 762), but it is not certain.
Projected 2027 dates
Based on a projected Ramadan start of 8 February 2027, the odd nights of the last ten fall on the nights of 27 February, 1, 3, 5 and 7 March 2027. Nights begin at Maghrib of the preceding day.
