What it calculates
Sehri ends at the start of Fajr (true dawn) and Iftar begins at Maghrib (sunset). This calculator solves the sun’s position for your exact coordinates and returns both times plus the length of the fast.
How to use it
- Press Use my location, or type your latitude and longitude.
- Choose the calculation convention used by the mosque, authority or timetable you follow. Regional defaults are only starting points: different organisations in the same country can use different Fajr and Isha parameters.
- Pick the Asr school if you also compare prayer times: Hanafi uses a later shadow ratio.

Choosing a method
Methods differ in the twilight angle used for Fajr and Isha. A difference of a few minutes between your mosque and any calculator is normal; where they differ, follow your local mosque.

Frequently asked questions
Should I stop eating at Fajr or a few minutes before?
The fasting boundary is the entry of true Fajr. Some published timetables show an earlier imsak margin, but that margin is not the Fajr boundary itself; follow the trusted timetable or scholarly guidance used in your community.
Why is my mosque’s Iftar one minute later?
A mosque timetable can differ because of rounding, a local adjustment or the convention it follows. Compare the stated method and follow the trusted local timetable used for congregational worship.
