Frequently asked questions
How many minutes before Fajr should I stop?
The fast begins at Fajr itself. Many timetables print an imsak time about ten minutes earlier as a voluntary precaution.
What if I ate after Fajr by mistake?
Whoever eats or drinks forgetfully should complete the fast; the Prophet ﷺ said Allah fed him and gave him drink (Sahih al-Bukhari 1933).
