  1. Press Use my location or enter coordinates.
  2. Choose your calculation method.
  3. The boxes show hours, minutes and seconds remaining, with today’s Iftar time and your local clock underneath.

Sunnah of Iftar

Hasten to break the fast at sunset — “The people will remain upon good as long as they hasten to break the fast” (Sahih al-Bukhari 1957) — traditionally with dates and water, followed by the Maghrib prayer.

Every calculation on this page runs inside your own browser. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored on our servers.

Frequently asked questions

Should I break the fast exactly at the calculated minute?

Wait for your local Adhan where you can hear one. Calculated sunset is astronomical; many mosques add a minute or two of caution.

Does the countdown follow my time zone?

Yes, it uses your device’s clock and time zone together with the coordinates you enter.
