Ramadan Planner
Plan around obligations first
Start with the five prayers, work or study, sleep, medication and family responsibilities. Add voluntary worship only after the basic schedule is realistic. The planner below is intentionally simple so it can be printed or copied into a calendar.
| Area | Daily minimum | Stretch goal | Review |
|---|---|---|---|
| Five prayers | Protect the obligatory prayers | Improve congregation / punctuality where possible | Were obligations protected before extras? |
| Qur’an | A realistic fixed portion | Use the Qur’an Reading Planner for a khatm target | Adjust the portion if it is repeatedly missed |
| Dua & dhikr | Short focused period | Longer last-third session on selected nights | Keep personal requests specific |
| Charity | Set a sustainable amount or action | Add extra giving in the last ten | Confirm recipients and avoid duplicate impulsive giving |
| Sleep | Protect enough total sleep for safety | Planned nap if schedule requires it | Watch driving/work fatigue |
| Suhoor / Iftar | Plan food, fluid and medication safely | Prepare ahead to reduce waste | Change what caused avoidable discomfort |
Weekly review
At the end of each week, reduce goals that are repeatedly missed and protect practices that are actually sustainable. The purpose is not to produce a perfect streak but to make worship and daily responsibilities easier to manage together.
