Dua and Greeting for Eid

تَقَبَّلَ اللَّهُ مِنَّا وَمِنْكُمْ

Taqabbal Allahu minna wa minkum

“May Allah accept from us and from you.”

Reported from the companions by Jubayr ibn Nufayr; cited in al-Bayhaqi and graded acceptable by Ibn Hajar.

The takbir

“Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, la ilaha illa Allah, wa Allahu akbar, Allahu akbar, wa lillahi al-hamd” is recited from the night before Eid until the prayer (Qur’an 2:185). See Eid al-Fitr 2027.
