Three days of Eid

Eid al-Fitr is one day of celebration in the strict sense, though the visiting and festivities often continue over the following days.

Dates are astronomical projections for 1448 AH. The actual day of Eid depends on the sighting of the Shawwal crescent in your country — confirm with your local mosque.

Is fasting allowed on Eid day?

No. Fasting on the day of Eid al-Fitr is prohibited (Sahih al-Bukhari 1991).
