What people usually write about
- An incorrect Ramadan timing. Include your city, the date, the time we show and the time your local mosque gives. Before writing, it is worth checking the Methodology page: a few minutes’ difference is usually a calculation-method difference rather than a fault.
- An incorrect date. Tell us which page and which date. Note that dates for 2027 are projections until the crescent is sighted, and pages should say so — if one does not, that itself is worth reporting.
- An incorrect hadith reference. The collection and hadith number you believe is correct, and where you checked it.
- A broken tool. Which calculator, what you entered, what happened, and your device and browser.
- A technical issue — a page that will not load, a layout that breaks, a download that fails.
- A content correction of any other kind. The Corrections page explains what happens next.
- A general enquiry — translations, reuse of material, or anything not covered above.
What we cannot do
We cannot give religious rulings. Questions about whether a specific act broke your fast, whether an illness excuses you, how to calculate zakat on a particular business, or which night to expect Laylat al-Qadr need a qualified scholar who can hear the details. We also cannot confirm the start of Ramadan for your country — that comes from your local mosque or national sighting committee, not from a calculation.
We cannot give medical advice either. If you are unsure whether it is safe for you to fast, that is a conversation with your doctor.
